Nestled in the depths of Northumberland stands Le Petit Chateau, an incredible wedding venue and one I always love to return to. The rustic French style of the venue creates a beautiful backdrop and is where Jen and James celebrated their summer wedding.
The ceremony took place in La Belle Époque, a stunning French chapel room.
In typical British fashion the weather was completely unpredictable, yet almost like magic the rain departed just as Jen was getting into her dress and departing for the chapel.
Her delicate yet mesmerizing Eddy K gown stunned everyone and sparkled away as the equally beautiful Jen made her way down the aisle. Jen also complimented her gown with a simple yet elegant bouquet of gypsophila.
Even though the sky began to grumble again the guests did not let it spoil the drinks reception. Jen and James had a saxophonist perform as their family and friends relaxed, celebrated and enjoyed a selection of cocktails and canapés.
James and his groomsmen looked very dapper in their pink velvet bow ties and blue braces, every element of their outfits tied in perfectly with the wedding.
I would also like to point out how gorgeous Jen’s bridesmaids were and how their beautiful blush pink dresses elegantly complimented the venue.
I would like to thank Jen and James for braving the rain during their photographs and not letting it dampen their mood, their love for each other shone through even if the sunshine didn’t!
The speeches were amazing, laughter erupted in the room and also a few tears were shed. The love for Jen and James was firmly prominent throughout the entire day, from Jens father singing postman pat during his speech to their incredible wedding cake made by Jens auntie!
This was one wedding that I could have stayed at and danced the night away as the band were awesome!
Jen and James, I wish you a life full of happiness and love x
“Katy… they are incredible! We absolutely love them all, you are so talented we are over the moon with those – I actually cried! Thank you so much for your time and patience on the day. You made us both feel at ease and we actually really enjoyed having the photographs taken!” – Jen and James
