Le Petit Chateau – Frankie and Alan
I knew Frankie and Alan’s wedding at Le Petit Chateau was going to be a goodie. Not only was it absolutely beautiful but they had to organise it in super quick time, six months to be precise! These two love to travel and when Frankie had got the news that she’d got a job in the U.S they realised they had to get their skates on and organise it. I can’t tell you how much of an amazing job they did with it all. Le Petit Chateau is a beautiful venue but they still managed to put their own stamp on it with personal touches here and there. I loved the table of old black and white pictures of grandparents, some taken on their wedding days, surrounded by fresh flowers.
Although it was a bit chilly, the sun was well and truly out on Easter Saturday for them and what an incredible day it was to photograph, you’d never tell that Alan and Frankie were rather cold at times. That morning I walked into the apartment where Frankie was getting ready and was greeted by a sea of pretty faces. These were, of course, Frankie, her Mum and all of her beautiful bridesmaids, full of smiles and excitement as they were having their hair and make up done. I left them to it and went off to capture Frankie’s beautiful Maggie Sottero bridal gown and all her beautiful little details. One of the things I loved were her ballerina shoes. These were so pretty and such a great idea for flats. I just love the look of the ribbon that crisscrosses the ankles, so very elegant. When the girls arrived in the bridal suite to help Frankie into her dress, they looked incredible. Their pretty pink dresses with the sassy big bow detail at the back were to die for and really complimented the guys in there tailored blue suits! The time had then finally arrived for Frankie to put on her beautiful slim lace dress. She looked absolutely beautiful and when her Dad came into see her for the first time there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Seriously! It was emotional. Thankfully Frankie’s Mum has there to pull everyone together and wipe the tears away quickly without ruining the make up.
La Belle Époque, the gorgeous French Chapel room, was where Frankie and Alan got married and what a romantic room to say your ‘I dos’. I think it’s the most beautiful ceremony room in the North East! I loved how Alan pulled Frankie into him for a kiss and lifted her off the ground when they’d got to the end of the aisle, Frankie then burst into a little celebratory dance with her bridesmaids. It’s amazing to be able to capture all of these little moment on camera for them to look back on after the day.
After a few family photographs and some awesome wedding party shots the celebrations were well and truly underway! I have to say that the guys in their blue suits really complimented the girls, their dresses and the soft pinks of Le Petit Chateau so well. Pink and blue seems to be such a popular colour combination with weddings at the moment and I love it as it really works well with my light and airy photography style. Check out some of the photos below to see how well it all worked together.
Frankie and Alan are now on their new adventure, living it up in New York city at the moment and I don’t doubt for one second that they are loving it! Congratulations again guys. Your wedding was epic x
