Yorkshire Fine Art Wedding Photographer

This was an absolutely stunning wedding for me to photograph.  Amy and Phil live in London but wanted to have their wedding back in Yorkshire where Amy grew up.  A beautiful little village in the East Ridings of Yorkshire, where Amy’s parents have lived since she was little.

I asked Amy to describe her wedding style and day to me –

“A combination of rustic and ethereal style, mixed with the sentimentality of holding the wedding at the childhood home of the bride.  The bride got ready at home then walked across the road with her father to the church. Afterwards, the drinks reception was held in the meadow, amongst straw bales and a central signpost depicting how far guests had travelled.
The wedding breakfast took place in the marquee where soft pastel colours and muted tones played out with accents of the outdoors, such as woodland-inspired centrepieces on the tables and ivy threaded through the chairs.
The bride wore Kate Halfpenny, with a rather playful ‘something blue’ – her shoes. The headdress was especially meaningful as her mother wore it on her wedding day in 1977.”

Congratulations Amy and Phil, it was such a joy to be your wedding photographer.

“These look absolutely lovely so far, really looking forward to seeing the rest in due course.
Thank you for making us feel very special on the day, yet relaxed.”  Amy & Phil
