(Dates subject to review)

This is such welcomed news to the wedding industry and many couples, but for some, many of my clients included, there will be great disappointment. My heart goes out to you, and I am here to listen and discuss plans going forward. It is a lot to digest and I’m here when you’re ready x

Personally, for me, when working indoors it is window light. You could of course use studio light, but for me as a wedding and portrait photographer where times is of the essence I prefer to work with what is already around me. On a cloudy day in particular window light is stunning. The light is soft and diffused, like a big soft box. It is incredibly beautiful how the light casts an even glow over my subject.
This image on a sunny day, should the sunlight be streaming in, would not work. I would have to bring my subject back into the room, away from the direct light. I rely only on natural light when doing any kind of portrait work, and will always guide my subject to the best of it. On a dark, cloudy day you may be tempted to turn on a room light. Don’t. Artificial light casts unwanted colour tones. As a natural light photographer I avoid this at all costs and this is how I achieve soft, luminous and flattering images of my subjects.

Good vibes only today people. It’s Friday, it the end of the week, and what’s more, it’s half term 🍾 never needed a break more than we need it now. Isla is tired and I am exhausted from home schooling. It’s time to concentrate on my normal role as Mummy, let our hair down and have some fun!! I’m a rubbish teacher. Hats off to all parents doing this crazy juggle at the moment, and all teachers out there. You’re amazing. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and get out in the snow. We’re going to!

Dreaming of summer days like this where I get to c Dreaming of summer days like this where I get to capture beautiful celebrations. These grey days feel endless at the moment, but I’ve been inspired this morning by the wonderful @katiejulia_ I’m going to stay positive and do a few things to help myself and my business flourish. Things like looking for new inspiration for my shoots, learning new techniques, getting creative at home, and planning a styled shoot for when things open up again. What are you doing at the moment to stay positive? x
